Intricately made, this brass ornament celebrates Downtown Jacksonville whether hanging on a Christmas tree or any wall! With a blue silk ribbon and measuring about 3 1/2" in diameter, the face even accurately details the inscription on Jacksonville's iconic Civil War Monument in the middle of Central Park. Dedicated in 1920, the statue is significant in many ways beyond memorializing those from Morgan and Scott Counties who served in the Civil War: it is one of the few war monuments to feature women; it was designed by Leonard Crunelle, a student of famed sculptor Loredo Taft; and it is also one of the few monuments that acknowledges the toll war takes on soldiers and their families. This collector's item also abstractly depicts many of Downtown Jacksonville's historic buildings in the background.

Packaged nicely in a navy-blue box with the design embedded on the front, this ornament makes a lovely gift for anyone with fond memories of Jacksonville's historic central business district... and especially for those who have watched its transformation over the years!

Help celebrate the success of Jacksonville Main Street's work to revitalize its historic heart with this beautiful remembrance!
